Silent Stride, for floating floor materials, is comprised of recycled filament specially processed to cushion the floor and absorb sound, reducing unwanted noise. The result is floating floors sound more like fastened wood flooring. This premium flooring underlayment can be installed over wood or concrete subfloors and able to manage moisture that surfaces in the form of vapors that occur naturally with concrete subfloors.

Both Silent Stride and concrete are "breathable" capillary products which is beneficial in ensuring that emitted vapors will never accumulate under the pad into harmful moisture. Another advantage is from the attached vapor barrier which protects the overlying flooring from any moisture. Silent Stride has fibers to manage serious moisture concerns and provides a better moisture protection flooring underlayment product.
